Monday 24th May // 8pm // Zoom
From the AIDS crisis to the COVID crisis, for decades the greed of big pharmaceutical companies has been putting patients’ lives at risk. Harmful monopolies given to these companies are restricting global supplies and allowing life-saving medicines to be priced too high for the NHS - denying care to thousands of people.
But history has shown that when patients act together, we can take on big pharma - and win. We’re holding a special online event to explore how big pharma monopolies are impacting our healthcare, what changes the NHS New Deal is demanding, and how we as patients can organise together to beat this corporate profiteering.
We’ll be hearing from Just Treatment patient leader Izzie Jani-Friend, and James Cole from STOPAIDS.
