At the heart of the NHS New Deal is a belief that all of us - no matter where we live or who we are - should have an equal chance to live a full and healthy life.
But Hostile Environment policies - embedding immigration controls into public services - have eroded the universal founding principles of our health service. These policies, including charges for healthcare and sharing of patient data with the Home Office, deny care to hundreds of thousands of people.
How do harmful policies like this drive discrimination, exclusion and health inequalities for minority communities? How are they affecting people? And what can we all do about it? Join us and our friends from Medact, Migrants Organise and the Patients Not Passports campaign to delve into these important questions.
