They show up for us.
So we showed up for them.
On International Nurses Day, NHS patients sent their messages of solidarity to the nurses who care for us all.
Most of us have a story about a nurse who was there for us, or for someone we love, in a hard moment. We asked NHS patients to send a message of thanks, and these are the replies. We have gathered them here and passed them straight to nursing staff, so they can read them. Words are not enough on their own. Nurses need better pay and better conditions, and we will keep fighting for that. But while politicians and parts of the media try to set patients against health workers, these messages say the opposite: we are on the same side. 💙

I want to thank the staff who saved my life last October 2025 when I was rushed into A&E by my wife mid heart attack. This took place at Arrow Park Wirral. Thank you all. Thank you also to the staff who looked after me on the ward.
Thank you to the ambulance men who then drove me to Liverpoll Heart & Chest Hospital.
Thank you to the staff who looked after me their and the team who undertook my stent procedure.
Thank you to the team at St Caths Wirral who assisted me at Cardio Rehab.
Thanks to all NHS staff across the country who do a good job and go tue extra mile. You know who you are and who your not.
With love and best wishes.
Steve
Between 2018 and now nurses from all over the world have cared in the NHS for my daughters through a DKA (in ICU), T1 diabetes, CVS and breast cancer (chemo surgery and radio), and for my husband through myocarditis. Among them are people who showed such compassion and skill that I shall never forget them. I am grateful to them all. I think they are the most valuable members of our society.
Hello,
I just wanted to thank all the nurses in the Rosie Ward in Cambridge for everything they are doing for my Grandson who was born 10 weeks early and has had two major surgeries and has been diagnosed with Cystic fibrosis. My daughter and son in law as well as our whole family want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for everything that have done. We appreciate you all! X

1. I love the NHS!
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
Having spent all of April either in hospital or convalescing at home, I’ve gained insights into our health system. And I cannot praise the hospital service highly enough.
Monday 30th March I was fine, yet Friday 3rd April I was first in the operating theatre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for the removal of ‘insidious’ cancer, which is what it’s called when you never noticed a problem until the tumour pressed on an organ.
After 12 days in ARI I was deemed fit enough to be discharged. What I had learned and witnessed there gave me hope for the NHS and a profound respect for its work ethic and treatment of patients.
Imagine if you can that you’ve been whisked out of your familiar existence and are suddenly confined to a hospital bed with a shock diagnosis. The morning after being admitted, when the consultant surgeon is doing his rounds you hear him say to the woman in the next bed “It’s been a pleasure to meet you” My jaw figuratively dropped and when he said it to me as well I felt the full impact of being treated with such respect and dignity when lying helpless, in shock and disorientated.
Thereafter everyone who came into my space be it to clean or nurse introduced themselves:” Good morning, Amanda. My name is …. and I’ve come to ….”. At all levels there were people from around the globe (ARI is a training hospital): Nigeria, Vietnam, Lagos, Pakistan, India etc. etc.
Gabrielle knows how to celebrate a birthday even in hospital!
And then I was discharged 13th April which began a whole new chapter. tbc
2. And then there was another drama / Dr Grays x 2
Change can come in the twinkling of an eye
Yet while it was a huge relief to be discharged from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after 12 days, because I was strong enough to be able to climb the stairs to our flat, what I didn’t realise was that certain changes require a heck of a lot more than twinkling eyes.
We were told that for every day spent in hospital it’d take a week of convalescing, so I settled in to practise the 3Ps for 12 weeks.
Now throughout the entire drama all my limbs, my head and my sense of humour had remained in perfect working order, and with no medical experience or knowledge between us, Göran and I didn’t notice a slow deterioration in my condition. But when she came to check up on us on the 25th April, Gabrielle was horrified by what she found: I was unable to shuffle unaided the few paces from sofa to bed, let alone tackle the stairs, “You’re like a sack of potatoes, Mum. I’m taking you to A&E at Dr Grays NOW - non-negotiable”.
On arrival I was a hair’s breadth away from total kidney collapse. However, they couldn’t get enough blood because I was too dehydrated from three days’ heart burn which came on when I drank, which had created a vicious circle. Finally they got sufficient blood for analysis and I was put on a drip perking up noticeably after just 40 minutes. Lack of supervision from Varis health centre was the cause, and lead to a six-day sojourn at Dr Grays that imho could've been avoided.
What I was determined it would not do was prevent Gabrielle from leaving me to go on a wee holiday she and her family desperately When discharged from that experience I felt above all that emergency abdominal surgery requires massive changes in one’s lifestyle - which I’m in fact finding very enjoyable! Anyone for sharing a glass half full?!
3. Our eternal thanks to: former SRN Jen Hayward for keeping an eye on things even while taking her own well-deserved break in Spain and lending me one of the CCC’s wheelchairs.
And, of course, the amazing NHS whose medical staff are so dedicated, and which provides a host of associated services: In Dr Grays I was advised by Occupational therapists, dieticians, Physiotherapists, stoma support nurses, and was sent home with some marvellous equipment like a chair to sit on in the shower and a small rail to attach to the bed and haul myself up.
I have been helped by nurses on many occasions; from the birth of my children, the death of my parents, after a serious bicycle accident, car accident and a minor stroke, as well as numerous minor issues like blood tests and vaccinations. I every case, my life would have been poorer without the actions of the nurses. What's more, they've always treated me with humility, grace and a sense of humour; they work under increasing pressure for less reward, and they still do it just to help people and with a smile. They are a breed apart, they enrich all of our lives, and I salute you all! Thank you!
I have been a nurse for over 20 years. Sadly I can no longer practice due to back injury that happened out of work. I have had multiple hospital admissions ove the years, and have also seen my parents in hospital over te years. Including my mum, who died of cancer 15 years ago. Our NHS is severely struggling due to various reasons. But i have always seen nurses, including friends who nursing is a vocation and not a job. They put their heart and soul into looking after theirpatients and the relatives. I am proud to say I am a nurse , \i always will be, maybe someday I can return to practice. BUt we need to show our nurses the support they need and deserve.
You are amazing people who always go above and beyond. Even when staff are off ill u work tirelessly giving your all to look after us with dedication, determination, care, understanding, belief in what u are doing is making a difference ( and it does) selflessness and love for your profession. You are amazing. You are wonderful. You are thoughtful. You are caring. You are the backbone of this incredible and magnificent health service, and I hope the government and successive governments reward u not just with words of rhetoric, but with a financial package that will give u a lift u so rightly deserve. If they csn give themselves a 5% lift (which none of them deserve, in my opinion) u wonderful people do deserve it and I'd be willing to pay extra tax to see that happen. Thank u. Thank u. Thank u
After I fell off my cycle resulting in some concussion, I was taken to my local hospital where the nurses were kindness itself as they cleaned out the wounds. And when I had an almost 'secret' heart attack 3 years ago (I hadn't had any pain) and again I was taken to my local hospital the nurses in the ward looked after me wonderfully - hard working day after day, yet kind and caring. How do they maintain this level of genuine consideration and care, obviously day after day. Quite extraordinary.
I recently underwent a lumbar decompression procedure at Derriford hospital in Plymouth. From the moment of intake , through the various administration procedures , every single nurse was friendly supportive and professional. One young scrub nurse wheeled me into theatre and held and stroked my hand while I “went under” she was a little angel! I woke in a recovery ward and was greeted and cared for by a different team with the same care and dedication. These nurses deserve and need so much more !!!!
I shall never forget the kindness and support we received when my husband was coming to end of his life with advanced dementia. Our community nurses and specialists came regularly, were so helpful and made me and my daughter feel that were were getting it right. Without their presence, advice and practical help it would have been a much more difficult journey, and |i shall always be so grateful.
The NHS has saved my life twice. Most of those who helped were nurses.
My mother was a nurse from before the NHS began. She was an SEN, and worked as hard as you do now. I was born in the first year of the NHS. I hope it does not get killed off before I die.
I will fight for the NHS nurses as long as I can.
Solidarity.
In 2017 I was taken into Pilgrim Hospital, I was diagnosed with Sepsis. My husband and sons were asked to sign a DNR form as they were told it was highly unlikely that I would survive. My husband was also advised to get our family together to come and say their final goodbyes to me. If it was not for the Nurses, support staff and of course the Drs. I would not be here now. When I eventually came round my husband explained everything to me. For the remainder of my stay in hospital I could not thank the nurses enough, they were there for me all the time, when I cried, when I was in pain and when I was so frightened, still not understanding why I had this illness, and when they told me my organs had started to shut down. I thank all the wonderful Nurses and support ladies for their care, their hugs, when they bed bathed me because I just didn't have the strength and when they cleaned me after I had been to the toilet. They did all this whilst still seeming happy with their lot, not once did I hear a complaint. I never thought I would get back to being me again but I'm here.
Just a foot note, I did go back into hospital a couple of times approx a year later and onto the same floor, to the sounds of "Awww not you again" then laughter. The nurses are absolutely brilliant and worth their weight in gold. They are not paid nearly enough.
Glynis Eastick. ??
Over the last year having been diagnosed with lung cancer I have had the pleasure to come under the excellent care of several nurse groups from those looking after me during investigations to on going support from the specialists nurses in the Respiratory department and now in the community. Their dedication and concern for my welfare is second to none and I appreciate every contact. They have such camaraderie that raises the patients spirit and helps our mental health. I don't know how they keep going. Let them know that they are appreciated from the people who count, us the patients.
My husband sadly died of a very aggressive brain tumour but the care he received from the nurses at the West Berkshire Community Hospital was outstanding. When he passed away every nurse who had been looking after me came and gave me a hug. I will never forget the care that was shown to him and me by the doctors and nursing staff. Thank you for all the work that you do.
Thanks for all you do, all you've done and all you will do in the past, in the present and in the future Thank you for the care you gave to my wife, the care you have given to me and the care you have given to my family across the years and in the future. I'll never be able to explain how much what you have given matters to me now and forward from now.
In 2024, as a dear friend lay dying, the nurses on her ward compassionately and skilfully organized her swift transition to a private room where close family and friends could say goodbye. Perhaps this is not uncommon, but I will always be grateful and full of admiration for this and many other acts of humanity drawing on professional skill from which I and others have benefited in NHS hospitals.
I’m 77 & I cannot express how great my gratitude has been over all that time for the skill, dedication & kindness of NHS nurses for any number of health conditions, accidents & operations. Everything about the nursing care I have received has been outstanding. In a world where reliability on public services seems to diminish by the day, it’s such a relief that, despite the very clear hard work & the increasing removal of political support. nurses have proved to be ever reliable. Thank you for always being there & for all your hard work. I hope y oh realise just how much we do rely on you.
To Our Incredible Nurses:
Thank you for being the heartbeat of healthcare. Your work goes far beyond medical charts and treatments; it’s found in the quiet moments of comfort, the tireless advocacy for your patients, and the unwavering strength you show every single shift.
We see your dedication, your compassion, and the sacrifices you make to keep our communities healthy and whole. You are the ultimate multitaskers, the calm in the storm, and the heroes who don't always wear capes—just scrubs.
With deep gratitude and respect, thank you for everything you do.
6 months ago my life was saved by a hard working team of nurses, carers and even the occasional doctor. The long hours of dedication you all put into helping people like me just isn't recognised enough. I saw nurses and carers skipping meals and getting through shifts of 12 hours and more on energy bars and coffee...I've tried that coffee and believe me, you need a medal for drinking it...I've seen staff being mistreated by patients, often who weren't even aware they were doing it; by visitors, who were but at whits end; and by management, who undermined nurses authority and often made the wrong decision, creating more work for an overworked staff.
You people are amazing. Without you, and without the NHS which they seem to want to destroy I would be dead. Most of the people on my ward would also. The work you do is taken for granted by so many until they need you and yet it is only a few years ago people were having their Thursday clap off to say thank you. Then they all forgot and the government stabbed you all in the back whilst giving themselves a huge payrise.
You deserve so much more than anyone can give in a few words because you gave me my life back. You kept me safe and feed me. You kept my meds regular and took bloods, changed drips and took me to the toilet on that weird contraption, cleaned me up when I had soiled myself, taught me to speak again, taught me to walk again and all with a smile. You do this every day for so many. Thank you, from the bottom of my still beating heart.
As a pensioner I know how amazing all the Nurses are, especially over the past five years after contracting legionnaires long beachyi which has turned my life upside down. I owe my heart felt blessings due to everyone involved in my treatment and especially the care given from all the Nurses throughout. I have many ongoing appointments. My deepest thanks go to every nurse who put their hearts and souls into yhe care they give each individual on every ward in every hospital. You all deserve a night hood for the outstanding jobs you all do.
I have been unfortunate to have suffered from Parkinson's, Prostate Cancer, heart block (requiring a Pacemaker) and sleep apnoea in the past few years, but very fortunate, once getting to see the Surgery and Hospital departments to be treated exceptionally by nursing staff that can can only be described, considering the stress they must be under, as first class and very professional and caring. I count myself very fortunate not only being treated by these nurses but also to consider them as great friends.
Hello you wonderful, beautiful people. Whenever I go to a hospital or clinic I always take biscuits to show my appreciation. I was born in June 1948 - a month before the NHS came into being. I am forever grateful to those who established it and my philosophy is : live healthily and when I need its services, I show my gratitude to those who work so tirelessly to care for me.
Nurses gave my wife far better care, post bowel cancer operation, than the local hospice did as she reached the sad, heart rending end; of her life of giving love and of caring.
Without the excellent support of nurses post surgery for breast by cancer, I would not be here now. Also after a stroke shock meant I had to learn to walk again, the nurses were so patient and caring. Thank you for all your skills.
I thank you all nurses. You are amazing. You looked after me so lovely & caring when I had breast cancer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Take care & be kind to yourselves xxx
I wanted to express my deepest thanks and support for all you do to help recovery from so many illnesses affecting patients of all ages and backgrounds. Your work is critical to the continuance of NHS principles of fairness devotion and delivery and as an elderly heart and lung conditions patient in cancer remission, I stand with you today and congratulate you for the incredible commitment and work you carry out unstintingly. Thank you.
My mother- in - law was aged 93 years and on admissision to the hospital we were told that she had 12 - 24 hours to live. She was in pain but the nurse worked hard to bring this under control. She was hallucinating and drifting in and out of consciousness and we have never felt so helpless. The nurse was amazing, so calm, kind and doing and saying all the right things to comfort not only his patient but also us. It gave us so much comfort knowing that she was being cared for in her final hours by this absolutely amazing person. You all work so hard but it is in circumstances like these when we see the caring and skilful side of your job up close that we realise just how special you all are.
Thank you for looking after my husband whilst he was in hospital
Also the hospice nurses who looked after him on end of life care.
You are all SUPERSTARS
For those of you who have supported & helped us through operations and COVID, for working long hours and not always getting the training to move your careers forwards. The weak & vulnerable depend on you when we go through tough times in our lives. We need you. We appreciate you. I can't thank you enough for what some of you have done for me. ❤️
I love going into hospital. Three times you've saved my life in the last few years. I cannot thank you enough for the hard work that you do so selflessly. Keep it up girls. I love you all
Thank you for your skill, your dedication and your humanity. You have helped to save many lives and have brought hope and happiness to many others. I admire you for your perseverance in spite of poor pay and conditions. I know some of you even have to depend on food banks, which is a disgrace to any halfway decent society. You are the heroes of our time, as you proved daily during the pandemic. I support you in all your industrial action and look forward with you to a day when your work will be justly rewarded.
The care I received from the Urology Day Centre Nurses including Operating theatre staff on Jan 9th till Jan 11th for TURB operation with the follow up care after catching an infection by Ward1B Nurses and staff at the West Cumberland Hospital was truly positive, demonstrating true care kindness and respect.
Thank you nurses for your dedication and phenomenal work. I am now 80 and I have had such positive experiences when I have been in hospital over the years. They include recovery from a brain tumour operation, replacement hip, two broken ankles. I am still here because of all you do. Thank you
Keep up the great work you all do as a retired nurse i know how difficult the job can be but also so rewarding it’s a shame you don’t get the recognition you deserve and yet you’re the backbone of the NHS you deserve so much more respect for all you do.Thank you each and everyone of you.X
HI ALL NHS NURSES our government doesn't appricate u. Sharron huddersfield
Thank you just doesn’t seem to be adequate enough for me to say but you all deserve to be rewarded adequately for the wonderful service you give to us all, Every Single Day!
Thank you All from the bottom of my heart XXX
The NHS has saved my life 3 times. Each time, it has been a result of REAL listening & CARE for me, as a person in pain, by nurses in GP surgeries and hospitals that has kick started referrals & consultant visits to diagnose the medical problems. I cannot thank you all of you enough. You are incredible people. I work each and every day to make the most of this life you have helped preserve.
I want you to know that I truly appreciate all the kindness, consideration, and sympathy that has been shown to my family.
Never have we been treated without utter respect. I don’t know how you do all that you do without complaining. You truly are angels. I respect and admire you so much that I wish I had trained to be a nurse when I was younger. Thank you for all that you do for everyone.
From Christine Hindmarsh. Carole Bell and Keith Hindmarsh.
We are with you all the ways. Fighting against the present digital system being run by Palantir, the American military. I have recently witnessed the difficulties with the present unworkable system, it is at breaking point and all Palantir are actually interested in is data of every patient, not interested in the health of the British people, this has to stop, we will be fighting this all the way!
We are with you all the way, keep your chins up, do the best you can under the circumstances and hopefully with solidarity things will change for the better!
Bless you all.
Well done to you all we would be lost without all of you and Definitely deserve more pay and looked after you for the future and pump more money into the N H S our useless lot in Westminster not taking care of you all and looking after our N H S sending LOVE to the team and grateful for how you take care of us ❤️
To all NHS nurses: Thank you.You are the heartbeat of the health service, often working tirelessly in challenging conditions to provide expert care with genuine compassion. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and the impact you have on patients and their families—often during their most difficult moments—is truly immeasurable.
I have been in and out of hospital over my long life I can count on one hand the nurses who have not been up to scratch their attitude stank in every way possible!!!
All the other nursing staff and I have met hundreds in lots of different hospitals have been very good along with caring about my broken bones and recently a stroke that I am still recovering from and the end of this June 2026 will be 12 months all told
Many nationalities many languages and they have all been a blessing and very hard workers and deserve a lot more than they get???
I want to say thank you to mental health nurses. They looked after me on several occasions and were amazing. They do such a difficult job and I wouldn't be where I am today without them. X
Absolutely full of admiration for the undoubted increase over the last 72 years, in nurses' knowledge, dedication and kindness. The comparison is like the difference between chalk and cheese. Who is a Staff Nurse on the wards these days? During a series of recent hospital visits I observed Staff Nurses at work receiving approximately 43 seconds between each professional interaction.
You guys are our rock stars. You work under the worst conditions and see and experience situations that most people can't imagine, and you do all this in a system that is being deliberately underfunded and understaffed. The current government and the one before have made your jobs so much harder, and you are overworked and underpaid. But you fight on. Thank you for doing an amazing job in difficult circumstances and for being there for people, some of whom are going through the worst days of their life.
As a retired nurse myself, I feel very sad at the state of nursing as a profession at this time. Working in the NHS has become harder and harder with huge pressures and difficulties. You are all wonderful, trying your best in such a challenging time. You all as a profession....especially on the front line ... deserve better pay and greater recognition and appreciation.
thank you ALL for your service - to choose to use your talents & skills, training & humanity - to care for all who ail & are ill within the NHS: you have served me & my family so very well for decades now, & we are always grateful, but thanks you never feels enough gratitude. we are forever in your debt xxx
Hello. I am writing this message to all nurses on International Nurses Day to say Thank you.
I know how hard you work, how overwhelmed you feel and how little reward you get for that hard work. The job not only entails actual physical nursing but calls for empathy towards the patients you treat and care for, and that is what separates vocational nursing from just being a job. To take time to listen to patients and connect with them must seem like an extra burden on top of the non stop work involved, but it is empathy that patients need and remember. All patients don’t want to be there, are at a low point in their lives and scared and anxious, but that little bit of support and respect from the front line nurse can make all the difference to that patient’s stay in hospital.
Even outpatient nurses have an important role in helping patients, being kind and caring, courteous and understanding and knowing that many patients are worried and anxious. Showing support and compassion is what those patients need, and most of you never receive a ‘thank you’. But please know that you have made a difference, helped to make a stressful experience lighter and easier to deal with.
All the patients that you personally come into contact with remember your actions, and that smile and tiny comment can make a huge difference to their stay or visit.
So Thank you all for going that extra mile and helping to make most patients’ low points that much easier to bear. We remember you and the difference you make.
I want to thank all the many nurses and support staff who have helped me over the last 18 months of chemotherapy. Their care, compassion and professionalism has been outstanding. They are working in difficult circumstances of underfunding and political interference. However, their dedication and stoicism is truly inspiring. Thank you one and all.
Youu are angels without wings. What would do and where would we be without your professionalism, care, compassion and patience, under what can only be described as extremely difficult conditions. God bless you all.
With sincere thanks to all the wonderful nurses who have looked after us over many years, and who still take the greatest care of me and my husband
I should like to add my deep appreciation of the nursing and staff efficiency being received by my youngest son, seriously ill in the Royal Worcester hospital. He has been bed bound, in ICU with 24/7 care and nothing is too much for them to do to help in any way whatever the time of day or circumstances. They are angels in disguise, whether male or female, and I can only hope that the NHS recognises the value of their hard work, long hours, caring, and empathy in many ways.
Thank you for being there when I received my cancer treatment for many months.
The cancer was agresive, well established and thought to have metastasised.
I had many different treatments which after almost 8 years from completion of treatments I am still here and enjoying life aged 76.
If not for the care received from nurses and specialists I would not be here.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Dear Nurses,
Thank you for your wonderful work caring for my wife Susan, when she was in and out of Ipswich hospital, dying in August 2023
Nurses have always been the backbone of the NHS with their compassion and professionalism, no matter what part of the world they come from without them the NHS would crumble. From personal experience last September I had a double bypass and a valve replacement the nurses Queen Elizabeth hospital Greenwich and st Thomas's hospital London were marvelous in helping me recover from my operation and even when I got home the cardiac nurses came to visit and help me.
Thank you to all NHS nurses for taking such great care of me when I was ill last year.
You are such an essential part of why the system works.
Thank you for your compassion, your empathy, your patience, and your kindness. But most of all, thank you for your humanity.
In some of the hardest and most vulnerable moments of a person’s life, you show up every single day and care for people with strength, dignity, and heart.
I will never forget it ?
You do amazing work, you helped me after my cancer surgery. I fully support everyone of you and what you do every day
You’ve given so much of yourselves all of your.
You’ve looked after me for more than over 40 years. You are the backbone of our society that has empathy, compassion and give more than you should. But i see you even if other people don’t,i wish you all the happiness and peace you totally deserve.Friend.???????
Thank you so much for your dedication and compassion. Whenever we need medical care, the Doctors prescribe, but it’s the nurses who make you feel looked after and cared for.
I'm incredibly grateful for the work yous do and am sorry that we live in a world where footballers are paid, per WEEK…..
"1 Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – £525,000
2 Mo Salah (Liverpool) – £400,000
3 Casemiro (Manchester United) – £350,000
4 Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – £350,000
5 Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) – £300,000
6 Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) – £300,000
7 Jack Grealish (Manchester City/Everton) – £300,000
8 Omar Marmoush (Manchester City) – £295,000
9 Alexander Isak (Liverpool) – £280,000
10 Kai Havertz (Arsenal) – £280,000
This ranking is based on base salary only – no bonuses included – with most figures sourced from Capology"
while you, along with heart surgeons, brain surgeons, doctors, oncologists, teachers, scientists, lifeboat crew, the armed forces, the police, cleaners and social care workers (to name but a few) get paid a paltry amount by comparison.
I don’t know how you are continuing to work in this grossly underfunded and under resourced NHS that I have seen deteriorate since I started work as a house surgeon in 1969, I have spent my life trying to stop the rot and I am sorry that I have failed. I retired early from my consultant post because my health could not withstand the distress caused to the relatives of a patient of mine who was dying and who spent his last night alive lying in a pool of his own faeces because the nurses had been overrun with emergencies and did not have the time to clean him up.
Where would we be without you? Fortunately I am blessed with generally good health, but I can remember the wonderful care I received before and after surgery on the two occasions I needed it. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Having recently been an in patient in my local hospital for 36 hours where I was expertly cared for, looked after kindly (and washed ! ) in an acute admission ward, this is to acknowledge my thanks on International Nurses Day
Thank you so much for sticking to your job, despite the way you have been treated by the government and 'bosses'. I grew up in a nursing home run by my mother and aunt and I know how hard the work can be; I imagine it's probably even harder in today's climate. So thank you again for persevering, and I hope the 'bosses' will come to their senses soon, pay you properly and make sure you have decent working conditions.
Thank you to NHS nurses, underpaid, under appreciated, under funded and always under pressure. It is a tough job without battling along in these dire conditions. The major problem is that Governments, Tory primarily, but now Labour too, are hell bent on destroying the NHS and are doing everything they can to force a transition to Private Healthcare. The only way forward as I see it is to elect a Government that wholeheartedly support the NHS and are proud to acknowledge, appreciate, support financially and celebrate a flagship service to the population. As it is, they have no intention of doing so and allow pressure from Big Pharma and private healthcare to lobby themselves into making over more billions while the NHS slow dies of starvation. Shame on the successive anti NHS Governments and bless every nurse who has carried on regardless because they are dedicated professionals that care about their job and the people they serve.
My family and me have cause to be very grateful to NHS nurses for the incredible job that they do, sometimes under almost impossible circumstances.
The system must listen to what nurses need and stop exploiting their dedication and sense of duty as successive governments have.
I am truly grateful for the wonderful care from nursing and other staff whenever I have visited, or stayed in hospital. The care given has been great, and certainly they deserve recognition, and more support. Extra staff would surely be a help. no nurse should be skipping breaks, or doing double shifts. God bless you all. Jill.
I have been in hospital 14 times in the last 12 months and I cannot thank the nurses and staff enough including the domestic staff for all their kindness and respect that they gave each and every patient one the wards I have nothing but respect and admiration for each and every one of them at Barnsley District General Hospital even the food was very good with a good choice of menu
Having seen how a Filipino nurse spent time and effort looking after my terminally ill mum when she was stuck on a six-bed ward in an NHS hospital it was humbling to hear of the sacrifices she made to work here. Nurses from wherever they come from deserve admiration and respect for the job they do. And who knows when you or I or anybody will need their professional support?
I am most grateful for the thoughtful, caring, professional care I have received throughout my recent cancer treatment.
The care I received was first rate and the atmosphere friendly and efficient.
Thank you all for the wonderful work you do
I’d like to say a big thank you to all the dedicated nurses who have chosen this profession. My sister started as a cadet @ 16 in 1970 but the job has changed so much over the years. You work under difficult conditions but still manage to smile and do a great job. You’re invaluable to the NHS! I wish you were better paid and worked shorter hours.
Thank you so much.?
Thank you all for going the extra mile! Every time. I do wish you were all paid what you are worth. ❤️❤️❤️ I have just been in Derriford Hospital for a revision of my left hip. Everyone was so so caring & so lovely. Managing to smile even when you were tired. Thank you Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of of my heart ? You are all stars ? in my eyes. xxx Mrs Gaynor McCormick. ??????
NHS nurses are a special group of people. Dedicated. Selfless. True heroes.
Thank you for everything you do.
You are appreciated more than you know.
You deserve to be rewarded more than you are.
Thank you again.
My message to all nurses who have treated myself and my family for whatever ailment, a huge thank you of appreciation to you all. You all do a fantastic job with the equipment you are given. I fully appreciate some of us are not the best patients in the world, but I for one, do really appreciate what you have done for me over the last months and years.
Please a have a great day in whatever you are doing and accept my appreciation I really do appreciate what you fantastic people do.
My thanks to the nurses at Birchwood Surgery, Horley, and to the nurses at East Surrey Hospital, especially the ones who looked after me in August 2025.
The work is hard, the pay is poor. You will receive insults, be hit, be spit on,
But it is rewarding.
At your worst times, remember your best times.
Despite those who abuse you, Remember all of those who support you.
YOU, are our wingless angels, without YOU, we would have no health service.
Love, respect and many thanks from an aged, retired RGN
I received excellent care whilst having an operation during COVID. The nurses treated me with dignity and kindness. I was scared as I had never had an operation before so thank you for making my experience easier.
You are most Valuable asset in NHS . I can never express enough gratitude for your dedication commitment and care . I do understand the pressures you face from corrupt politicians making you’re life difficult…
Hello all you nurses out there. I am a retired SRN trained in 1953 retired in 1996 i know how hard you work and its a disgrace that nothing has changed yes you have dispossible everything from sputum pots and bed pans pump up beds and other modern today things but you still work very long hours not enough nurses being employed or is it no one wants to do nursing anymore because of long working hours no proper meal breaks and the absolutely disgraceful wages. Ive had two hospital stays and have seen the awful hardship you have to endure, thank you for the wonderful care you gave me while i was in our big hospital Derriford Devon. Keep on smiling nurses regards.
Thank you for all you have done for my children for the last 14 years. We wouldn’t be where we are without you. Forever thankful :)
I recently had a total shoulder replacement in Airedale Hospital West Yorks
Every nurse who cared for me was cheery, (even after 3 nights running,) kind (to total strangers) efficient though tired, ready to explain medical stuff when I was still recovering from a 2 hour op, and they encouraged me to take my pain meds as I lef the ward 15 hours after I arrived. All brilliant, all underpaid, all planning to come back the next day, maybe!! You all need medals
To all our nurses. I would like to thank everyone of them. Because I know how hard you work . I had a major heart operation in the BRI in Bristol and many years ago had two operations in Musgrove Park hospital in Taunton . All the nurses at both these hospitals worked so very hard and were so professional and caring. We are so lucky to have outstanding nurses in our NHS .
I. have been looked after by many nurses in my time and have had many operations and they were so helpful !
To all my past colleagues, thank you for all the love & support we had for each other, during tough times & sad times.
You are all amazing.
To all the present day nurses, you are all amazing & work in difficult times. Where would we be without you all. Keep up the good work.
Love Sandi ( retired RGN)
I am so grateful for all the wonderful work you do under very difficult circumstances with all the shortages in every part of your work
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
In July I will be 92 years of age, I rarely need medical aid but when I do I find that obstacles are put in the way of nurse by the crazy admin processes. I needed emergency help at our Minor Injuries Unit, no fault of the nursing staff as there were only 2 on duty but I was there from 2.30 ish to 5.15 ish.
But I do want to say a huge Thank you to all of those nurses who have looked after me over the years. Love Kay Nicholson.
I was in 3 different NHS hospitals for 5 and half months last year and received excellent care: kind, friendly and skilled. I watched nurses and health care assistants respond with cheerful kindness and patience to confused and sometimes rude patients. Nurses are constantly understaffed and struggling to maintain professional standards of care while coping with shortages of many kinds and usually remaining calm and good humoured. They are heroes a nd should be properly paid and acknowledged
Thank you for your care, your training, your knowledge and your strength. I am forever grateful to all the nurses who are so important to our NHS and the healthcare that we are also lucky to receive. I hope you know what a fantastic job you do. In awe of the dedication you show in what I think is one of the most challenging and underpaid roles. Take care of yourselves so that you can be the heart of our health communities.
We love you nurses and the difficult job you do so well. I am proud to say I have a daughter who is a nurse. She takes it seriously and gives her job her all.
Thanks to the nurses who took care of me when I had heart surgery.
Thanks to to the nurses who test my blood every 6 months.
Thank you all for your work through the pandemic.
Above all, thanks for staying with the NHS, we can't do without you ❤️
Thank you so much for all the help you gave to my wife Lesleywhen she was seriously ill. It was only your job you you were doing you may say but it was much more than that - you saved a life! xxxx
Thank you all for all you did for my husband especially his last weeks, both his District Nurses, Marie Curie and in hospital against all odds! Thanks too to the Carers who kept him comfortable in the last weeks of his life. Thank you is not a big enough word to express my gratitude!
Thank you for all you do. I had to attend the after hours surgery at the weekend. I was so grateful to be seen by a lovely lady clinician. I had had no joy from my own doctors. So thank god for your emergency treatment because without you I would probably have ended up in hospital.
Having spent a total of a couple of months at different times in various Wards in the Royal Blackburn Hospital during the past year, I saw how dedicated the Nurses are. They seemed to be understaffed, rushing around between patients, yet carried on reassuring and helping in so many ways, always with a smile, a friendly face and kind words. I can't thank them enough for keeping me sane whilst I was hospitalised.
You’re all angels! I’m 74 and have been looked after by various nurses and doctors recently for several different life-threatening ailments. During that time, the NHS team were simply angels - being kind, caring and attentive always while being professional in all ways. Thank you.
I have lived with HIV for 39 years and I must say this wouldn't have been possible had I not received the most incredible care and nursing from all the nursing staff in various NHS trusts that have treated me over the years there have been other occasions where I've been hospitalized and had excellent treatment of course so with the heartfelt thanks I just want to wish everybody in the nursing fraternity a very happy international nurses day and thank you all for everything you do to make a patient's life easier and more comfortable
I believe I know how you ( nurses) feel, as it states, under pressure, under paid & feeling stressed. This government are not helping you, particular Wes Streeting, who I believe is using NHS funding to support the private healthcare. We the people of the UK are behind you, giving you all the support we can. Keep up the excellent work. Remember, we , the public are aware of what you are going through..
My Family and I are always grateful for the care we receive from nurses in the N.H.S. and thank you all for your all your work and kindness
You're all brilliant! Thank you so very very much for all you do. Your expertise and efficiency is wonderful and most of all your care and patience (particularly with difficult patients) is outstanding. I can't thank you enough. Long may your last! Hugs to you all....
Thanks to the nurses who looked after me during my cancer treatment
you are wonderful angels and we all need you at different times when we are ill in hospital, thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication, we campaign for the higher wages you deserve
I, my husband and all our family thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts for all the hard work, long hours and inadequate pay you cope with. We all owe you a huge debt of gratitude .
NHS nurses are amazing people, so friendly and helpful, so caring. We would all be in a right mess without them and I thank them for their service to us all, under very difficult conditions and low pay. xx
Thank you for battling on in the NHS against all the obstacles that have been put in your way. Thank you for the care and patience you have shown my family and me when we have been poorly. You deserve much better conditions and a massive pay rise .
You all do an amazing job and don't get anywhere near the appreciation that you so deserve . You are all selfless angels and I for one appreciate all that you do .Thank you so much.
I have many reasons to be grateful for nursing care down the years. You do an essential job in increasingly difficult circumstances. I hope you can keep coming in to work to give vital care to patients. With grateful thanks for all you do.
Nurses do an amazing job if it wasn't for a nurse a few years ago my husband would be dead as the doctor wanted to send him home despite the fact they couldn't stop him bleeding, the nurse fought for him to stay in, thank you nurses
I would like to thank all Nurses for the dedication and commitment to all they do for us. In the Hospitals and our local Doctors Surgery's. You are all so supportive and caring. Thank you all so very very much. June Gittings (Mrs).
A big thank you to all the nurses at Southampton General Hospital who were always there for me during my cancer treatment. They made my serious illness bearable with their kindness and attention although they were under pressure.
Nurses are the heart of our health service. I wholeheartedly support better acknowledgement of the part they play in medicine, and call for better pay, better working conditions, and better staffing, to give those who work and give their dedication to NHS patients, the recognition they deserve.
I have a Granddaughter who was a midwife so have a really good idea what some of you are going through, not only the long sometimes unsociable hours but the real fact that not every day you can just switch off and go home. You have a profession where sometime you take your work and frustration home with you. You have my undying support and understanding.
Your care for me has been wonderful
, both in hospital and GP surgery. Thank you so much!
All Nurses are brilliant but often underpaid and over worked. My daughter is a Children’s Nurse in NeoNatal care huge responsibility and she is underpaid and overworked. Her commitment to her job is outstanding putting herself for all opportunities that come her way. I am very proud of her but do wish there was more recognition for all that she does.
Thank you for all you do you work hard are underpaid and must feel undervalued. Please know me and my family thank you and your fellow nurses so much for all you do and for your dedication and care is so appreciated.
To All NHS Nurses. You all do an incredibly important, life saving job for most of the people in the UK. We all know that the system is under financial, staffing, investment and outside commercial pressure and that working life is very tough for most of you. But we are full of admiration for your dedication, commitment, professionalism and sense of humour. Please do not give up on us. We need you and love you.
I am so grateful for each one of you! I have ended up in hospital quite a lot over the last 11 years and have had some fantastic treatment from wonderful nurses who have helped me get better. Please know you are acknowledged and appreciated-I have never had a proper chance to say thank you to all of those who have treated me, but am saying so now. Don’t give up because you feel unappreciated-hang on in there!!
In Feb of 2025 I was admitted to Bedford Hospital. To cut a long story short,I had to have a leg amputated. The op had to be repeated three times. The care I had from admission to leaving was absolutely wonderful. The care and professionalism and sheer goodness was outstanding. Thank you , we are lucky to have people like you in our world. The after care and physio at Luton limb centre has been amazing.
Thank you for your kindness, caring and support for us when we’re suffering. My family and I really appreciate what you do, especially when you’re underpaid, understaffed, under-resourced and under pressure.
Nurses are the backbone of the NHS. They’re in the frontline of abuse, complaints, dealing with mental health patients that are disruptive, patients needing their drugs, inebriated patients and much, much more. Working unbelievably long hours of hands on care and all the accompanying paperwork that they are required to do.
They are amazing people doing a very hard job and I’m truly grateful for them.
Dear NHS nurses
I've seen the pressures you are under.
NHS staff are consistently hard working, caring, graceful under pressure, and totally brillliant. Thank you for the wonderful ways you make even terminally ill patients smile. Thank you for doing so much to look after us all. You deserve better pay, free travel on public transport, free parking at work, subsidised canteens, and so much more.
Thank you for the great care you continue to give to me on my semi regular visits to hospital and that you gave to my mum up to her passing last year. You are true heroes and make me proud every day.
ear Janie,
Our church architect at Caroe Ptnrs., suggested I send a Photograph of our entrance doors for advice on the best way we cam treat them.
I think that they are made in Teak, since many years ago they were 'oiled' every year, but since then they have been treated with coloured timber preservative of different types, but I cannot tell you what make.
As you can see, they look a dreadful mess, and we need to improve and protect them.
I will be very grateful for your advice.
Best regards
Thank you for all you Do
I have witnessed personally and for members of my family your incredible support - in terms of patience, reassurance, medical assistance and such warmth and kindness. Thank you to Nurses in the NHS
Met many nurse's over the past 20yrs from Merseyside and greater Manchester everyone has been warm welcoming and all supportive. At some worrying times for me a day my family thank you so much.
Thank you for the help, patience and reassurance you give even when you are exhausted because of the long and unsociable hours you work Thank you for the silly jokes to.make us laugh and forget our fears Thank you too for the hours you studied to gain the knowledge and skill to do this "job"
Just thanks for being a nurse
I never had much interaction with nurses…until some messy facial operations due to melanoma. I was sooo impressed with nurses, they were so kind, careful, knowledgeable, supportive, and a sense of humour , I will never forget them , I learned and now respect them all so much . I was a lucky one , no spread of melanoma
Earlier this year a truly freak accident put me into Maelor Hospital in Wrexam for two days. The nurses, one and all were brilliant. They went the extra mile to see that I, as an octogenarian,
felt comfortable and reassured. Not only that, but they made sure that my wife was kept fully up to date and well informed.
If I was the prime minister I would employ more nurses and pay them a good wage as you deserve it . I know how hard you work my wife was a nurse keep up your most excellent work.?
Heartfelt thanks to all the many nurses who have helped me and my family in many different ways over many years
Thank you to those nurses who helped my wife with kindness and skill, under pressure. I fully support all of you in your struggle against mistreatment by successive governments.
During my 74 years I have needed hospital stays on five occasions, not for life threatening problems but quite worrying all the same.
The care I received on each occasion was nothing short of exemplary and I would like to send a big thank you to all the nursing staff who took care of me at during my recovery.
As a former cancer patient who also has macular degeneration, I cannot praise NHS nurses enough for their care and dedication. Thank you, everyone, and keep up the good work!
you do a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances and very little reward
Always know that you are appreciated for your dedication and care despite all the long hours and difficulties you are doing a wonderful job.
I appreciate the hard work and time you put in everyday 8hrs a day. Some days without a break or even just manage 1 toilet break. I appreciate the time yous take to listen without judgement and the patience that yous have. Makin us feel at ease. Without yous we would be lost yous are great and yous don't deserve to be abused at work or shouted at. Just want to say Thank you ❤️
For all your hard work and dedication, often in difficult circumstances I want to say how much I appreciate all you do your your patients and the NHS.
I was rushed into hospital last year with double pneumonia and from the moment I entered the care I was given by the nurses and doctors was second to none. They do an exhausting job sometimes having to cope with difficult patients. Underpaid, overworked and under valued.
My mum was a nurse before the NHS, scary stories. Thank you so much for saving my life three years ago, bet my mum was watching from above!
To all our NHS nurses. You all do an amazing job and I can only imagine how hard it must be for you all through these very difficult times.
Iam in awe of all the staff who leave their home and families day after day and go into the onslaught of what waits for them They are seriously mentally and physically abused but still turn in for their next long gruelling shift in the blink of an eye.If it wasn't for the nhs on several occasionsI wouldn't be here now Do I hold each and every one of you in such high reverence and esteem. Thank you for my life .xxxxxxxx
Being 79, I have had occasional to rely on the professional, skillful, and compassionate care of many nurses. They have never let me down, no matter the heavy pressure they have endured. May I offer my deepest and most sincere gratitude, not just to the nurses I've met personally, but to all those I have not had the honour to meet.
On this very day I had major surgery. I am eternally grateful for the kind, caring and professional way I am being treated post-op.
Just to say I think you all do an amazing job under some of the most difficult of circumstances. Your worth your weight in gold.
I am lucky to have been in the care of nurses quite a few times, I think you're the best. I admire your dedication, knowledge and skills. You deserve much better conditions to work in. We all need much better people in government who care about the NHS and healthcare for all, and not those selling it off to the profiteers.
I am having treatment for metastatic prostate cancer. Part of this treatment involved intravenous chemotherapy at the Amberley Unit in Worthing Hospital.
I have nothing but praise for the staff. They are cheerful and kind - it is a pleasure to visit the unit.
Dear nurses, wherever you are.
You are very special people. You have found a practical way to help your fellow human beings even though it can sometimes be heartbreaking and exhausting.
For many of you, it's a labour of love and I for one, am full of admiration for your dedication in these trying times.
We need people like you as a beacon of hope that humanity does exist.
Thank you.
Public health and quality care rests on the shoulders of nurses from around the world. Your work should be decent work in line with international labour standards, fairly remuneration and publicly appreciated. No to profits being creamed off wages. As someone with chronic health issues I am indebted to the care and professionalism of all the nurses who support my health. Delivering care in an underfunded system means costs are pushed onto nurses workloads and reduced wages. This is a loss-loss situation. Nurses are unmissable and vital to our public health care system
Thank you for all you do doesn’t seem enough.
The kindest of nurses made me so much better when my partner was in ICU
So thank you ❤️
Nurses were vital to me having gone through Stage 3 melanoma (2000), bacterial meningitis (2021) and prostate cancer (2023), especially the 20 days of radiotherapy at the Guy's Cancer Centre. Incredibly committed and and humane people.
Thank you for your kindness, dedication and hard work. It is both physically and emotionally draining. You deserve fair pay and support from your employers. Let’s see NHS money going to fund doctors, nurses and all the health professionals, rather than to ‘managers’ and quangos.
My experiences, both in General Practice and in Secondary Care, of nurses looking after me over many years has never been anything less than excellent. I consider myself very fortunate to have been well looked after on many occasions.
You are amazing, although you may not feel appreciated always by your bosses. Be assured the vast majority of the general public value you and the difficult, but vital job you do.
Thank you most sincerely. Grant
I first entered hospital to have my tonsils removed at the age of 5, having been bribed by my parents that I would be allowed to go on a holiday with my uncles and aunts. I have unfortunately had to use the NHS services and of course the Nurses on several occasions since.. They have without question been the most dedicated and caring people I have come across. They are hard working and very caring and deserve a huge pay rise.
Hi
I want to thank you for all your dedication and hard work as a Nurse.
It’s not easy sometimes it can be thank less and soul destroying but better days and times come.
There will always be that one patient or colleague who will raise you up.
Now more than ever with so much turmoil and unrest in this country. We as patients really do value you and respect your role.
Sending you much love ? and big hugs ? for the darker days.
You incredible, wonderful people are angels on earth. Thank you so much for your dedication and unstinting care for all those in your care.
Thank you all for your patience, kindness, professionalism and caring, all while tired, over worked, and with very little time for a home life. No one should work twelve and a half hour shifts, in such responsible and life or death situations. What happened to the three eight hour shifts, which politician thought this was a good idea? Bless you all and may things get easier for you all very soon. ♥️
I want to thank all nurses for the amazing job they do. It is not easy being a nurse in the present climate. I had a recent experience at Southampton eye hospital all the nurses were very kind and helpful. I cannot praise them enough. Where would the country be without our wonderful nurses.
Thank you for your kindness & unending care when I've had a short stay in Barnet General or Chase Farm. You keep smiling & professional even when people treat you rudely & thoughtlessly. You have my gratitude & l only wish you were paid a decent wage for your
labours. Very well done ladies.
I am grateful for everything you do and only wish you were better rewarded for your efforts
Thank you for all that you do, for the general public. The jobs that you do need thanking for. You were there for my mum and myself when I had a knee replacement. I was met with smiles and helpfulness. Thank you once again.
You are all doing a wonderful job and are very much appreciated. You work long hours under sometimes very difficult circumstances and are not paid nearly enough but you are all valued by "the public".
Thank you for everything you do. We needed the help a couple of the NHS when my friend had double pneumonia and was admitted to hospital twice and he was looked after so well and he recovered quite well. Thank you again.
Kenneth Roberts, I send my ever lasting, heartfelt thanks to each and every nurse, with very special wishes for the nursing staff of the Royal Liverpool hospital, the Heart and Chest unit, Broadgreen hospital, Whiston hospital who helped and nursed me back.to good health.
Ken Roberts.
After Surgery today I especially appreciate the kindness and expertise of ALL NHS staff
Thanks for all you do. The love and dedication shown by most of you is truly invaluable. The support I receive as a carer is also most gratefully received too. Please look after yourselves. The caring heart never fades.
Continue to provide the skilled and compassionate work you do to help your patients.to full recovery. You are a valuable resource in these troubled times. So stay strong and resolved as always.
Fantastic work undervalued except in an emergency, but not by me. Thank you for your service, heres hoping we can help you get a real payrise when the people who clapped you on the doorstep remember you still exist, the same nurses who gave so much during the pandemic we love you!
Thank you all every single one of you for the incredible work that you do every day often in conditions which nobody would choose you’re all amazing. I believe me so many people in the country know that, we stand with you and are incredibly grateful for every single one of you.
I envy you for your feeling of kindness towards others. We are all behind you
More than 20 years ago I tripped and suffered a bad fracture of my upper arm. To this day I bless the names of Mary, in A & E, who gave me morphine and encouraged me to have more, “ Don’t be brave,” she said. And I remember Stephanie, the lovely Filipino nurse, who, when my sleep was disturbed, by an elderly lady with dementia, made me tea and toast. I will never forget their kindness and their care.
The public owes everyone of you an immense gratitude for what you do and how you do it. I myself have had first hand experience of a lengthy time in hospital , I couldn’t have been cared for any better, I and many others are eternally grateful for what you do. Thank you.
Warriors of the wards.
Angels.
Proud of you all
We love your compassion, your smile and your humour.... Don't ever stop - we love you. xx
Nurses, we live you! Whilst the NHS is fair game for berating and moaning I would not put down any of you front line workers, you’re marvelous doing a difficult job in extraordinary circumstances M
Thank you all for your hard work and help with trying to make us all feel a bit better if having to attend or stay in hospital. We love you all and hope that sooner or later the governments of this country show a bit more respect for you and the work you all do.
Thanks for everything you do, for your tireless dedication, compassion, expertise and comfort when we as patients are in distress.
To all nurses being front line or caring you do a great job with out kind hearted people like you who work long hour we thank you for the bottom of my heart .
And respect you for your duty of care and compassion xx
Thank you to all nurses and HCA's for your dedication and care.
I am appalled that you are not appropriately appreciated or remunerated for the important and excellent work that you do. I urge all those responsible for paying you to make urgent decisions to bring about an acceptable increase in your pay, and make it more attractive to bring additional staff to share the burden you carry.
I have experienced care shown by overworked nhs staff towards me, family members and friends. Giving them a fair deal is an essential part of maintaining and protecting our valued and vital NHS
I work for the NHS too so I know how relentless it is and often with little thanks or external reward. So here’s my big thank you. I see you and appreciate all that you do day in and day out.
When I was going through cancer treatment, Cathy my MacMillan Breast Care Nurse supported me and was the kindest, most caring person I’d ever met. I’ll never forget how much she helped me.
You are amazing people with true dedication and compassion. Pity the NHS doesn't look after you in anyway. We support you.
Thank you, nurses for saving my life in the past and all your dedicated work in the present - and hopes for decent pay and conditions for you asap. I'm so grateful. I'm 79 and your care is helping me stay alive. Thank you so much,
In solidarity, Clare.
NHS nurses at NGH are the best. We have been to many departments lately including haematology and cancer care and every one without exception have always been excellent, thank you all x
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the dedication and professionalism that has been the hallmark of all my experiences with the NHS over the 72 years from my birth until now.
You do an incredible job in oftentimes difficult situations! Whilst I’ve never had to receive your care I’ve witnessed it with others! May you blessed and appreciated for all you do!
Thank you for your service, despite challenging times & the failure of authority to suitably value & invest in you & the institution you are a part of. Thank you for your persistence to do the best you can for all who come before you in need of care. Please know your love, compassion, skills & dedication are appreciated by many. Thank you for being you.
After 45 years of nursing myself, I know only too well how stressful and exhausting nursing can be...working long hours, of which many hours of extra work that is not paid, in order to care for the patients to the best of your ability and not leave extra work for your colleagues.
Remember:
You are doing an amazing job, both in hospital and the community where i worked. ?????
They are amazing people who work very hard I was a patient at Leeds for a week because my hospital did not do procedure The nurses were so kind to me and all the staff as I was far from home They deserve every penny and more God bless all nurses
I'd like to thank all the wonderful nurses who put their own life's at risk during the pandemic to care for us and still are there to look after us when we need them no matter what. I've always found the nurses very kind and caring willing to help us with what ever ails us .Thank you for all your hard work through the years xxx.
Dear NHS nurses, this is just a wee thank you for your dedication, your kindness, and your skills. Every time I need you, I am amazed at your steadfastness in the face of such discouraging job conditions. Please hang in there. We need you!
Thank you for being what you are, for doing the best you can in difficult circumstances and for not giving up - I want you to know how much most of us truly appreciate that.
Im sorry that such a lot of pressure is put on you due to poor funding of NHS. I have always found that nurses give very good care even in difficult circumstances. Thank you
Thank you for your wonderful and compassionate work especially amid the avoidable challenges that are being thrown your way. Human connection and kindness will win in the end and you are at the frontlines of that.
I send a heartfelt wish that the government recognises your true value & gives you increases in salary & other benefits that you deserve for today and in the future ??
Dear Nurses,
Thank you for your persaverence, patience and kindness. Most of us appreciate that you are under pressure and overstretched, yet you still do your job with compassion. We need more people like you. Thank you so much....
Thank you all for the amazing work you continue to do despite the difficult circumstances you have to deal with. It is very much appreciated.
Thank you for being there. Nurses have help me so much. Being happy and kind. Even when I suspect you don't really feel that way. You are a inspiration to everyone, everyone. So again I give you my heartfelt thanks. I don't want to think being without the NHS. And all the staff that work in it
Happy International Nurses Day! We love you all. Thank you so much for everything that you do ?
I feel really sorry for the difficulties you are having. I’m just glad that I’ve retired as the service isn’t fit for purpose these days. You have my sympathies.
Thank you for being some of the real heroes of this world in some of the hardest circumstances. You aren't appreciated enough and you aren't paid enough. Please keep up the amazing work and we'll keep fighting for your rights!
Both of our sons & myself have experienced cancer in the last few years so we have every reason to thank the Nurses for their skill & care. So many thanks!
My daughter was a Nurse so I wish all nursing staff a safe journey at work and travelling to and from your work, you are worth every penny of your wages.
You do a sterling job. Without your tireless input, the NHS would fold. Why footballers are paid such obscene sums, it beguiles me completely. Nurses should have a better salary. It is no wonder that some are leaving the profession. I read about a former nurse who earned more than twice as much as a model. That is criminal: it is as simple as that.
Our Nurses are the beating heart of the entire NHS. Not only dedicated to the care and support of their patients and despite having worked non-stop for hours, they know how much a smile and a few words of comfort can make a world of difference.
Thank you from a very grateful family.
Thank you from every member of my family who have ALL been cared for, under awfully challenging conditions, by NHS nurses- from the UK and overseas.
Thank you for all your care and support while having many visits to different N H S hospitals and different departments .
I and millions of other patients are so grateful for hanging in there
while things seem to be coming against you .
please God with the changes that are now coming , we shall see
you are better treated .Lorraine Young ( Mrs )
Would like to praise the NHS workers for everything they have done for me ...I had facial cancer and a TIA and they went above and beyond for me
I had chemotherapy for 6 months. And the process was gruesome. Every nurse who treated me showed great professionalism, care and compassion of the highest quality. I have nothing but the highest regard for each and every one of them. Worthing hospital should be very proud of their nurses. Please save the NHS from streeting and Farage
Many go above and beyond. It doesn't go unnoticed and we value that highly, especially those of us who were born into the NHS. Thank you.
My mum and sister were both nurses. They had such an important role, were kind and competent, just like so many nurses today. Thank you!
As a retired nurse I admire your dedication and professional ethics. I know you are all hard working and care deeply for your patients and colleagues. Stay positive and thank you for your amazing work
Amazing, wonderful and compassionate. We stand and walk beside you.x
Thank you for all your hard work dedication courage and understanding but you must take care of yourselves, get some rest and eat and drink properly and find time to relax and be with family and friends. We are so very lucky to have such marvellous people to care for us, thank you once again. Love Liz, Duncan, Jess and Poppy Cat x
We love you without you we would be lost, thank you ‘ god bless you.
As a cancer patient I appreciate your encouraging welcome, the cups of tea and the general atmosphere you generate - thank you.
I have great appreciation of the work and care nurses do in the NHS. Long hours and hard work are not rewarded as they should.
Thank you for all you do, and all you have done over the years, for patients and their families. You deserve everything and get very little apart from bad press and insults. I, and people like me, will continue to do all we can to support you in any way we can. You deserve, and have, our respect, our support and our thanks.
I think how nurses are treated by our government is absolutely abhorrent, you all work so hard and as someone who has had a few hospital stays I’m so grateful, I will always vote for positive change and complete as many petitions as possible and hope things change for the better. Thank you all for all you do.
Kind regards
A huge, heartfelt Thank you to all the wonderful nurses in the NHS who are amazing and work so hard.
Hello having been an NHS nurse previously I’m 150% behind you all .You deserve more pay and more recognition for the tireless work you do please don’t give up, we’ll get there one day .
Thanks for your total commitment. It makes such a huge difference to my and my family’s life. You have our admiration
we appreciate all you do for patient care . working in such difficult conditions, understaffed and not paid enough!
Having used the NHS for several operations over the years, very grateful to the Nursing Staff.
All the nurses who helped look after me in a resent operation made me feel comfortable, safe and well cared for
We know that you are fighting harder and harder conditions. Please don't leave we see you and want to say we will try and share and sign everything that comes our way. To make this government listen with the hope Farage never gets power. The NHS is all of ours as such politicians should never ever have had the right to sell any of it off for interests of their own. The rot began tberewe will add our support for better paying more staff.
I love you all. I would be dead if it wasn't for you. [Despite the government] you are doing heroic work, every day, and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you, and bless you ?
Thanks for all you do. My mum was a SRN and a captain in the QA Reserves before the NHS came in to being.
Thank you for all you do!
I and many others will fight for our NHS and fair rewards for all NHS staff.
To all those who dedicate their lives to caring for other peoples health we under appreciate your efforts and I personally would want politicians to demonstrate as much dedication and the NHS and all our lives would be in a better condition. Thank you, your praise is more than words can do justice.
I have used the NHS since 1946. They have
never failed to give me the best treatment possible. They have kept me in good health
since a 2008 prostate diagnosis and I now have a team of consultants and nurses keeping me going in the most professional way. Bless you all !!!!!! Paul-retired engineer.
You are doing an amazing job under really difficult circumstances. Thank you.
Thanks for everything you do. Not a day goes past when we don't think of all the hard life saving work you are dedicated too. You are a critical link in the chain of all our lives. Everyone must support the NHS and all its nurses to help them carry out the tireless work they carry out. Thank you.
I've had encephalitis ruin my memory for the past 11 years but I've seen enough of you to have easily remembered how lucky I am thanks to your hard work. I once drew a picture of a load of nurses in superhero outfits saving me and then realised how silly it was. Yes, you were saving me but you have no magical powers its pure hard work, I don't know how you manage but there are not enough words to thank you for what you do.
Thank you all so much for the great job you are doing under such poor conditions. Such dedication and empathy with patients is much appreciated. Bless you all ❤️
Every nurse i have had contact with have always been excellent. Hospitals, surgery, or at home.
Many thanks for everything you do in such a difficult job. Where would our NHS be without you?
You are the backbone of our NHS.Thank you for your tireless dedication to patients and your diligent support of colleagues. You are worth your weight in gold.
My mother was a nurse, and my aunt, and now my sister. House full of them!! All so well done
Thanks to nurse Juliet for 'rescuing' my wife from a draughty corridor at lunchtime today.
Thank you nurses for all the wonderful work you do, e.g. amongst other things, for making me tea and toast after my bunion op, hugging me when I was upset over missing a friend's appointment and helping me with my clothes after I had an X-ray and so much more. You are truly marvellous.
What would we do without you? Even when you are really up against it, whether it be endless shifts, poor funding management, corruption or if you are trying to save lives in the middle of a war zone, you guys always come through. Always. Thank you to the real superheroes! ?♂️?♀️?
To you all-Thank you so much from us all for your care and humanity shown towards others in need of help-also hope that the NHS remains uncontrolled by Palantir and stays governed by UK citizens
Keep up the amazing work yoi are all heroes!!!Regards Howard
Thank you all for the amazing work you do.I know how hard you work.It is non stop. You are all so kind ,caring and committed in helping us .Bless you.
To all the NHS nurses and care workers, you are absolutely fantastic at what you do. It's with care and understanding that you tend to every patient that you treat. I can't thank you all enough especially during COVID where you were outstanding. God bless you all. Love Dave Lees
Thank you for all you do. I hope you will soon be properly paid and rewarded
A very BIG thank you to everyone. You make such a big difference and you are there when we need you most and are most vulnerable.
Thank you so much!! Diolch o galon (Welsh tor ‘thank you from the heart’)
Bob
Well done nurses every where. Especially my daughter Karen Theresa Brewer
Solidarity to all Nurses I'm a retired Nurse I know the long hours and commitment us Nurses give to our patients and the NHS . There are times when it's a thank less job there are times when people thank you for all you do . But every government Tory or Labour underestimate the hard job we do . We are underpaid under valued. But we are all sisters together struggling on Nurses pay Soildarity ✊????
To our wonderful nurses, thank you for everything that you do for us, both seen and unseen. Your dedication and hard work is appreciated.
You are all heroes doing very skilled work in an overstretched underfunded system for inadequate pay and we really appreciate you. Thanks a million times! ??❤️
My wife was in and out of Hospital last year the Nurses were excellent
I so appreciate the care you have given me and my family. Thank you!
Thank you for the amazing work you do, for your patience, your care and your presence when we need you most. You are wonderful people.
Well done to you all and thank you all for your dedication and hard work. You are earth angels and what would we do without you all.
God bless every one of you! We see your hard work: we know the pressures you are under: we truly value all your unseen caring. You are not valued by our paymasters, but you are by everyone who has ever needed your love and compassion. Keep going - and DLTBGYD!!!!
Thank you for all the wonderful care I've received over the last two years - you are amazing and make me feel safe and cared for.
Not all angels have wings!
Grateful thanks for all our fabulous NHS nurses do 24/7 and 365/365 ( extra on Leap Years!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You are precious, we need you and we know how difficult it is!
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️ YOU are ALL so appreciated by so many ?
Thank you so much for your hard work, care and kindness. It means everything when, as patients, we are worried and frightened.
Please do not give up that things will change. As a life-long supporter, my p, and the World’s admiration for the NHS, is steadfast. It is the best health service and we are so fortunate to have the dedication and services that NHS nurses provide. Thank you.
From giving birth 3 times, breaking my ankle, twice, to having my wisdom teeth out, and a hysterectomy, I want to thank every nurse for making that possible, for being there, for training, for caring, being amazing! Where would we be without you...thank you.
I would like to thank all nurses for their dedication and hard work.
It's not an easy job especially now.
God bless you all.
Thank you for everything you do and I hope that soon your income will reflect your heroism and dedication. You are amazing.
I have recently had experience of NHS staff in an A&E department of my local hospital. Every member of staff that dealt with me or that I observed was brilliant. Helpful, professional, sympathetic and friendly. I am well aware that you are all under a great strain and are underpaid and understaffed but I want you all to know that I support you and will always argue for you. Thank you.
After a recent hospital stay I saw first hand what a wonderful job nurses do to care for us. Keep up your wonderful work ladies and gentlemen! ❤
Nurses are hard working people and they should all be looked after and paid good wages for the hard work they all do , thank you all for your help and hard work ? ?
I would just like to say a huge thank you for your dedication and compassion that you bring to such a valuable service.
I've recently been attending the Moorfields Croydon Eye Clinic and I've been very impressed by the efficiency and consideration I've been shown by all the staff there. Heartfelt thanks!
I truly don’t know how you keep going… my compassion and admiration for all you do know no bounds. The country must fight for you, for the NHS, above all else. Thank you from my heart.
Thank you for all you have done for me and my Family
Nurses are wonderful. They go beyond the call of duty to work to make us better.
We owe them a lot and of course they should have better working conditions and a greater share of the credit when patients get better and sometimes when they don’t.
You do the most amazing job and we would be lost without you! Thanks heaps for all your hard work. Bless you all!
Am a huge fan of the countless NHS nurses who have cared for me over the years. All have been absolutely brilliant - not just great at their jobs, but thoroughly warm and human as well. Sending lots of love - hang in there, you are all amazing!
Thank you for your kindness and support, I do not take this for granted and I appreciate all that you do and you should be able to work in a safe and well run space, with respect and with a better run NHS and in a healthy and clean environment.
Nurses are the most dedicated workforce in this country and Cur Keir Starver is robbing them blind to line his own pockets, thieving lying barsteward.....!
Like a lot of professions, the value of nursing has been ignored in favour of professions of less social value.
We as a country have not trained Electricians & plumbers ,so have to pay through the nose for those who still have the requisite skills.
What happens when we lose nurses through exhaustion, frustration and the feeling that they are under valued in society?
Giovanni Carlo BETTINELLI:
I WILL SHOW MY SOLIDARITY FOR NHS NURSES,
THEY DESERVE THIS SOLIDARITY. I REMEMBER, IN ANATHER COUNTRY, THE YOUNG LADY AT THE AGE OF 10 YEARS, TOLD ME SHE WANTED TO BECOME A NURSE, I THINK SHE IS OVER 50 YEARS.
A Big SHOUT OUT out and Thank you to ALL OUR NURSES!
YOU ARE OUR "ANGELS WITHOUT WINGS"
We as patients are united in demanding better for our nurses, our NHS.
We stand with you in solidarity and hope, together we can make a difference!
I admire your dedication, please don't loose this. I am very grateful for all your help you have given.
Dear Nurses, I just want to let you know that I’ve seen for myself what you all go through at work and the fact that you have to keep going for the sake of your patients. I just hope that things improve for you all.
God Bless you all.
Thank you to the NHS Nurses at Aberdeen Royal infirmary for their care and dedication in treating not only our physical health, but also our mental health at a time we can very emotional and distressed. You were a great support to me.
The nurses and doctors at my hospital in Kendal are first class, and work in 5 different depts, Not so sure about management and improvement here seems to be needed. I am approaching 97 years old so depend on our wonderful hospital.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all OUR amazing NHS HEROES for all you do for us, day after day.
You are amazing people and in my mind if there is such a thing as Heaven then you are the angels.
Despite all the issues at present you are all doing a grand job. I worked in the NHS for 40 years. I have had good management and care. Grateful for the advice I have had. All the best for your futures and think about you often.
I love you all, your hard work and lifelong dedication is one of the wonders of the human wo.
You are wonderful and I just want to say thank you for all for your dedication and hard work.
We know it's a battle to provide the services and care needed.
We love you and support you.
Thank you so much for all the compassionate care I have always been shown by NHS nurses.
Thanks for everything you do. Politicians may not appreciate you but the vast majority of the public do, I'm sure, so thank you for everything you do. Our lives would be much worse without your hard work and dedication.
You are angels, soldiers, carers and heroes! But you shouldn't be over stressed, exhausted and still struggling financially. Thank you for all you do and sticking with the nhs when many wouldn't.
You are amazing. You are the backbone of the NHS and I would like you to know just how much I appreciate what you do every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Know that you are very much appreciated
Keep going, you do amazing things for all of us. We owe you a debt of gratitude.
Your amazing care for me (lymphoma chemo) and so many others at hospitals across the country is remarkable, encouraging, and highly effective. Our health is in your hands coupled with your skills and commitment.
Thank you for everything you do. You've made my own suffering easier many times over the years. I know you're not appreciated enough in terms of pay and conditions and hope this changes for you. You deserve it.
I thank you, with my whole heart, for everything you do - for the sacrifices you make and all the kindness you show to your patients. Much love
We all appreciate your skill and dedication. Most of us are encouraging our MPs to hassle government to restore NHS funding and return our NHS to it's position as the world leading public service we remember.
What a tremendous job you do! You have the support, respect & love of everyone who meets you & is privileged to receive your care & compassion. We are so glad you are there for us & we stand with you always.
NHS staff I have met are wonderful, without exception. Thank you so much !!
We love you, hate 'government'!
Your wages and MP wages should we swapped!
Nurses are the back bone of the NHS my personal experience has been fantastic you are angels ❤️
I'm very lucky not to have great need of your services over my 77 year life but when I have you have been wonderful. You do a fantastic job on the front line and I wish you weren't underpaid and overworked
To all the nurses that work in the nhs you all need better conditions to work in and to be safe while helping the sick and the drunks which I find disgusting, if the idiotic people want to drink themselves into a haze and get so drunk they can't do the basic things like getting home and end up being taken to hospital to sleep it off.
I think the nurses do the most wonderful job.
They deserve so much more.
Thank you to all the nursing staff, cleaners and catering staff for all the wonderful support they provided throughout my time in St Richard’s Hospital Chichester, it was absolutely first class service,
Thank you for all you do, in difficult circumstances, given government reallocation of funds to private companies
WE need you. You have my backing if you wish to speak out about how the NHS needs better support - and speak about what is stopping you doing your job as well as you wish to: whether that is changingTechnology, union support, managers removed from the realities of your job, as well as pay, please do speak out. You have our support.
Your work is fantastic. We need your fabulous support everyday! we can't do your work! you all do amazing You save lives every hour of the day ! Please keep this up and give our lives in your hands ?
Thanks for all you do. I have never been in hospital for any length of time and I hope I never will be, but I know others who have been, and knowing that you dedicated people are there for us is a huge comfort when, like me, you are getting on in years. Our national health professionals are the pride of Britain and no mistake!!
It’s tough. We know this and appreciate you ever more for your devotion to patients and the NHS. It’s not perfect - that’s an understatement for sure, but it’s an ideal, an aim that transcends - and that means continual struggle. Thank you for everything. Please know millions of us care and support you in every way we can.
To all NHS Nurses at all levels
Thank you for all you do for all of us under very difficult circumstances
Thanks to you all for your hard work and dedication in the face of great adversity and challenge. I hope very much that you get more staff to help and a good salary increase. All the best.
Just want to, briefly, say well done to all nurses. You are all truly wonderful and seriously undervalued by a great many of our political leaders. A huge thank you for all that you do.
Thank you NHS Nurses for healing me when doctors wouldn't see me and for making correct diagnoses when doctors failed to do so.. I'm one of many who are eternally grateful. Thank you!
Thank you to all the nurses out there, you always remain professional and courteous whilst under a great deal of stress and strain. You are wonderful and I thank you immensely. Martin
You give your all and yet are underpaid and overworked. You are competent , caring , patient, kind , long suffering ,generous and reassuring. We need you! And we will strive to improve your working conditions, to demand better pay and insist on better working conditions ! Please continue to give us your support!
I had a hysterectomy last year and I can honestly say the care I received from all the nursing staff was excellent.
The NHS is a truly special service and I want to know that all the staff feel valued. I know that isn't always the case but I just want to say thank you for the work you do! All of you!! Charlotte
Our nurses are very special people. You make us feel safe and comfortable when we are at our lowest ebb. Like many organisations, the people " on the ground"; "at the workface" outperform their employers and managers, keeping the service effective and relevant, in spite of the shortcomings of their management.
Nurses are sometimes portrayed as angels and this is true. It's a hard job ( I have a sister now retired who was a nurse for 40 years ) so well done to each and every one of you.
Thank you all for your care support and understanding in often very difficult situations .
I have recently had some experience of Bangor and I was treated for various ailments. I was treated with kindness and respect at all times. Well done to all the girls and boys.
Thank you all for looking after me during my trials and tribulations with my prostate problems. It wasn’t easy for you as it all kicked off as Covid struck. God bless you all.
NHS nurses, you are wonderful! Kind, thoughtful and gentle when we are feeling vulnerable and sometimes frightened. Thank you, thank you to all the nurses who have treated me.
We love you even if the government doesn't
You are all great. Keep going we love you.
Thank you so much for the care I have received over many years by you dedicated nurses...leaving Worthing Hospital today after a procedure, and the nurses were magnificent!!
I would not be here without you.
In the middle of the night after a valve implantation, I had a crisis - fever and dangerously low blood pressure. Over the next two hours, I was accompanied through tests in different parts of the hospital until my condition stabilised. Attentive, caring, kind. Thank you.
You all do a marvellous job and I`m always grateful for your help, often in the most adverse conditions. I hope you`ll always be there. With love and appreciation, Brenda
I thankfully haven't needed nurses much in my life, but when I have, I've always received great care. Where would we be without nurses and the NHS? We'd be far, far worse off - being without the NHS is impossible to imagine. Thanks to all the past, present and future nurses for doing such a great job.
When i was in treliske hospital last year the nurses and doctors were amazing. The nurses was so caring. Thanks very much ? xx
Our nurses are amazing, hard working people who care and look after us at our most vulnerable. They are often overworked and often in danger of assault. True hero’s.
Thank you for all the valuable work you do, often under difficult conditions.
I send my very best wishes to all nurses throughout the NHS. When I’ve needed them, on each and every occasion I’ve received wonderful first rate treatment and care.
Amazing dedicated nursing staff @ Watford General Hospital Maternity unit were kind professional & absolutely centered on patient care All NHS should be paid more ❤️
Thank you so much for your support and caring during my successful treatment for melanoma via the use of intravenous immunotherapy. I owe my continuing life to you.
Some of you have helped keep me alive for the last thirty-odd years, and I'm eternally grateful to each and every one of you who do the same all day, and every day.
Hi Nurses I know how hard you all work you deserve better, but it seems other things get priority. I use to be a nurse so had it first hand. I'm thinking about you.
Every time I have been treated by nursing staff they have always been very professional, supportive and kind. Nurses deserve to be treated with the utmost respect.
Celebrating International Nurses Day! Thank you for everything you do. You deserve better and I hope you get it. xxx
You do a brilliant job in some very difficult circumstances. Thank you.
Nurses everywhere, you are always there for us in our hour of need, sadly all weekend do is to thank you greatly for all that you do. Let's hope things will turn around in your favor, indeed in every working persons favor very soon.
Wishing you all the very best and much love and thanks.
Every time I hear someone talking about hospitals, they always say how wonderful all the nurses are. And it's true - please keep it up; you are appreciated.
Thank you so much to each and every NHS nurse. You are under-appreciated and under-paid. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.
I admire you all so much. Thank you for all you do. I constantly pressure my MP to keep the NHS out of the hands of Big Pharma and Palantir etc. I stand by your attempts to get decent pay and fully equipped hospitals. Privatisation is not the answer. It will cost more money in the end.
You are doing a marvellous job against all the odds. Our country owes you a massive debt of gratitude. We cannot thank you enough but many thanks anyway!
Thank you to all our lovely nurses in all departments. You are the backbone of the NHS and it could not run without your, love compassion and care. Carole
Thank you for your care, companionship and dedication to duty.
You are appreciated and you are a huge source of information for patients and families and a nassivd comfort to your patients.
Thank you for all you do xxx
I would like to thank all the nurses who have tended to me during my 79 years. They have been unfailingly kind, generous with their attention and exceedingly competent. My feeling is that there should be many more of them, to share the load, and they should be paid far more money.
I Am Forever Grateful To All Nurses For Caring and Going The Extra Mile For My Whole Family xxx ???????
Thank you for all your hard work, professionalism and dedication. The care you provide is exceptional and you are all heroes.
From the date of my birth the NHS and its staff have been there when I needed you you deserve more than you receive words will never be enough. ??
You do an exceptional Job & I’ve been on the receiving end a few times over the past few years. You are appreciated & we the general public will keep pushing for the right pay & the right conditions which means the right numbers of staffing. Keep smiling as you are appreciated
Would like to thank all the nurses that have helped me over the years. You all deserve to be treated better. Also better pay for your work.
Yours
To all those hard working Nurse's, who keep our hospitals, care homes and Doctor's running efficiently, with kindness and respect, l thank you ?
I have just been inhospital overnight and you ladies and gents are bloody marvelous. Under paid, short staffed with crumbling equipment but you keep going. Thank you from the bottom of my partners and my heart.
The whole country is massively in your debt. We couldn't manage without you. We bloody love you xxx
Hello to all you Nurses out there , past and present you are all amazing and I fully appreciate everything you do for us , one way or another.
Been in hospital a few time in the last few years, so I know how much
nurses are need. would back any pay claim they deserve, really deserve
You have all shown much dedication to your profession over the years. My eldest daughter is an NHS nurse so I can understand your concerns
Not only do they do a fabulous job, but a nurse only this morning helped me blow up my flat tyre. Made my day with this act of kindness.
Many, many thanks people, to make my stays in hospitals bearable and a generally agreeable experience. I am sincerely grateful for that!
To ALL NHS nurses: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for just being there for us all, when we need you the most. Without you, we have no one to care for us in our time of need, irrespective of our older age or youth. We Can Depend On You. So yes, thank you very, very much.
Our once envy of the World NHS, still survives but sadly is in terminal decline through No Fault of those who work so diligently day in day out.
At the forefront of the NHS is Our World Class Nursing Staff Florence Nightingales One and All.
In Solidarity
Steve Murphy
Your humanity and empathy make our health service human. May you all be paid as much as you deserve and get the respect we all owe you.
I received wonderful care from the nursing staff when I was recently in Tunbridge Wells hospital at Pembury. My thanks go to them all.
Thank you so much for everything you do to help patients. Your kindness and care really make a huge difference X
I cannot express how much I appreciate everything you do and are. You are all amazing. Thank you for being there and caring about us.
Your knowledge and dedication is to be admired and appreciated by your patients, of which I have been one recently and am in awe.
All nurses have my total solidarity for the fantastic work they do and have done for me personally over the last few years, especially with what has been happening in the NHS at this time.
Thank you for being there and caring.
I have nothing but praise for them
You do a wonderful job, thank you from the bottom of our hearts
I am in my eighties and have only ever received amazing help and support from
nurses. They are amazing and very much appreciated.
To all NHS staff but especially the nursing staff you are wonderful, kind, and caring we are so lucky to have you! Thank you ???
I think that all the Nurses do a good job and they deserve better treatment and a better pay raise for all the hard work they do
Without you I'd be dead. It's time our government paid you what you're worth and gave you the resources and support you deserve.
Thank you for caring, and for your selflessness and dedication despite such awful working conditions.
You work hard, yet are still expected to be superhuman. You are insultingly poorly paid, and have to fight for every meagre wage rise. And yet you do what you have to do and we thank you for your time - unpaid overtime included, effort, skills and caring.
I hope that you know that the majority of us feel very strongly about you. That is why you are often referred to as angels.
Nurses are the backbone of the NHS. Thank you so much for your kindness, care and fantastic skills.
Thank you for your dedication, kindness and patience. I wish you all the best for a brighter future.
Happy International Nurse's Day.
Nurse's should be given more credit than what they are actually getting. We would not have an NHS if it wasn't for ALL the Nurse's that work in it.
Nursing is the Backbone of the NHS and they all should be recognised.
Thank you for your hard work for our health - you are amazing! I will fight for better conditions and pay for you all.
Whenever I’ve been in hospital I have found all the nurses to be very caring and helpful. In my opinion they work very hard and never get paid enough also I think that if they use there own cars to get to work they should not have to pay for parking.
We are all so grateful for you and everything you do. You should be really proud of how many people you have helped .
I am 100%behind the nursing staff.over the last couple years i have personally witnessed the hard work and dedication
I am regularly taken by surprise at the way nurses handle the pressures under which they work with such a cheerful positivity.
Please don't give in to the negatives - you continue to be a shining light in any community. Thank you, Roger and Jenny
Thank you so much for all that you do. Be strong and positive. God bless you all. ???✝️✝️✝️
In my estimation you are dedicated to your profession and without doubt the real live angels that care for all.
Thank you for all that you do! You deserve more respect, kindness, resources and pay ♥️
Your skills and dedication are what made this country Great, and still do. You are still our proudest asset.
Where would we be without all of you, you are vital to us all. Your dedication is unmatched. Thank you all.
Your vocation is of great value to all who use (what is left of!) the NHS.
I support all lawful actions you may take to bring your current financial plight and working conditions to the attention of the public and politicians.
Solidarity!
Your kindness and professional care have been such a great help to me. I would have been lost without you.
The politicians don’t appreciate your work and dedication - but the public do! (It’s just a pity that many members of the public don’t think through the consequences of making the wrong choice at the Polling Booth!!)
We admire you and your dedication. Without your work, myself included, many of us would no longer be alive
I applaud you all for the tremendous work you do helping and looking after us patients you are all Angels

As a former nurse myself you have my absolute support and good wishes, both my late wife and myself loved our jobs but it’s a far cry from what the NHS used to be, good luck to all fighting the battle!!

Doctor told me He would keep me in Hospital overnight. At 2am he said he won't. I had no money for a fare. The NUrse told me to stay in reception until a decent hour, ♡
What conveniently short memories governments can have. I remember when our heroic nurses were an amalgamated National Treasure, to be applauded weekly. Funny old world.
Underwhelmed with appreciation from the top but valued like life itself by your patients, we wish you all, active or retired the best day possible. Judith & David Joy.
